The Holiday Cheese Plate

If you are running around planning for that special holiday party and cannot decide which cheeses to serve on your cheese board, I have some mouth watering, scrumptious choices for you.  My five cheese selections are:

Delice de Bougogne: A triple cream, French, Cow’s milk cheese—like whipped Buttah!

Bonne Bouche: Aged goat’s milk from Vermont Creamery—gooey, creamy, and delicious!

Old Amsterdam: Aged cow’s milk Gouda from Holland—hints of caramel and nutty in flavor with crystallization. Oh so divine!

Moliterno al Tartufo: Sheep’s milk from Sardinia (think Pecorino) with black truffle cream running throughout—savory, meaty and just plain scrumptious!

Neal’s Yard Dairy Colten Basset Stilton: Blue cow’s milk from England, luscious, rich, and creamy with deep complex flavors!

For the grand Finale, I would slice up some crusty bread; arrange some water crackers, dried fruit, lightly toasted nuts and honey.  Enjoy pairing this plate with a sparkling wine, a pinot noir and a tawny port. Voila!

  1. Thank you so much for this great assortment of cheeses. I must say that my husband and I tried Bonne Bouche back in September when you blogged on it and we both fell IN LOVE!! This will surely be on our holiday cheese plate! Happy Holidays to you!
