Turophile Terms – H through K

Happy Monday all! Hope your weekend was enjoyable! Here are our Turophile terms for “H” through “K”

A hard, or firm, cheese is one that has been aged and pressed to the point where there is little to no moisture in it. Asiago is an example of a hard cheese.

Holes, or eyes, are found in cheeses such as Swiss. They are caused by bacteria during the cheese making process.

When a cheese is intense it has strong, concetrated flavors or aromas.

Kaas is the Dutch word for cheese.
