Wild Hibiscus – Edible Flowers!
Yes, you heard me right–edible flowers! One of our popular products, Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup, is a delicious and extremely versatile addition to any Valentine’s Day date! One 8 oz jar contains approximately 11 hibiscus flowers in syrup.
The flowers themselves have a strawberry-rhubarb flavor, and the texture of a grape. While they can be eaten alone, there are many creative ways to serve them. As pictured to the right, you can place a single hibiscus flower in the bottom of a Champagne flute and fill it with your favorite Champagne or sparkling wine (like Tosca Prosecco). The flower slowly opens up as the bubbles rise to the top and it adds a slight fruity flavor.
You can also use the syrup (and flowers) as a garnish for ice cream and cheesecake. Their website even has a recipe for Wild Hibiscus Champagne Jellies!
However you decide to serve them, these flowers are sure to impress! Give the special lady in your life some edible flowers this year for Valentine’s day!
