Quark is probably one of the most versatile foods that I have ever encountered. It is mostly used in German recipes and desserts, but also makes a delicious substitute for the base of dips! Here is a quick recipe for an Onion & Chive Quark Dip that takes minutes to prepare!
- 1 [1/4] lb. container of Quark cheese
- 1/3 (or less) medium-sized red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon chives (finely chopped if fresh)
- 1/4 tablespoon basil
- salt & pepper to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. For optimal flavor, make a few hours in advance and allow to sit in refrigeration until you serve it.
