Camembert dell’Alta Langa – December Cheese of the Month
We certainly have saved the best for last for the conclusion of our series on Cheeses of the Months! Introducing our pick for December – the Camembert dell’Alta Langa. Alta Langa cheeses are usually produced in France but this gem comes from the Piedmont region of Italy, giving it a uniqueness all its own. This three milk camembert is the perfect blend of goat, sheep, and cow’s milk that forms a melt-in-your-mouth flavor sensation.
The Camembert dell’Alta Langa has a straw colored rind with a white, milky center. It is intended to be devoured at room temperature and once you start eating you wont be able to stop, it’s that good! The cheese offers your palate a wide range of flavors. From a rich, meatiness to the sweet, floral notes, to the distinct mushroom finish, the taste spectrum is endless. Your senses will be going wild as you make your way through this cheese. Creamy, rich, and delicious, the Camembert dell’ Alta Langa is perfect to compliment a nice bottle of bubbly to pair with your holiday toast!
